Jewish Family & Children’s Service of Pittsburgh (JF&CS) is a nonsectarian 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life of children, families and adults of all ages throughout the Greater Pittsburgh area. Services are provided and referrals are made without regard to race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, place of birth, sex, sexual orientation, familial status, age, handicap or disability.
JF&CS aims to meet the need for individuals and families by providing a spectrum of services including adoption through Family Hope Connection; career services through the Career Development Center; psychosocial and therapeutic services through Squirrel Hill Psychological Services; eldercare services through AgeWell Pittsburgh, guardianship services, immigration legal services through Legal Services to Immigrants and Internationals, refugee and resettlement services; emergency assistance; and food insecurity relief through the Squirrel Hill Community Food Pantry.
For more than 75 years, JF&CS has remained vital and relevant—and always available to respond, no matter how difficult the problem—by continuously adapting our programs and services to meet the changing needs of our dynamic population. We are known as a leader in providing innovative and effective social service solutions to problems facing families and individuals of all ages.
