Programs:

Education

  • Heritage 4 Kids Early Learning Center, a national and regionally accredited childcare center that fosters early learning. 95% of children enrolled at 4 Kids are from families at or below the poverty level. The education children receive at 4 Kids enables them to start grade school at the same level as their peers from families with higher income.
  • Heritage Out of School Time (HOST) provides out of school time care to students in grades K-8 in the Mon Valley region. Out of school time care includes before and after school, holiday breaks, and in-service days on which the school districts are closed. While attending HOST the students are provided with an afternoon snack, guided with their homework, and engaged in age appropriate enrichment activities.

Transportation: Heritage WorkLink helps riders get to jobs, job training and work-related support services. We provide fixed route van transportation to the residents, workers and students of the Mon Valley and connect our riders to bus routes operated by Port Authority of Allegheny County. WorkLink currently has 3,000 registered riders and provides 13,000 rides per month.

Community Engagement: Community Engagement leverages volunteers to address community needs in the Mon Valley. We take a strong leadership role in revitalization projects in the communities that we serve. Volunteer groups large and small help with projects that range from direct service to maintenance and construction projects.
